Service organizations play a very important role in preserving the benefits we now get, but are in danger of losing. I STRONGLY recommend that every Veteran join a service organization so your voice will be added to those fighting for our rights. We owe it to all the Brothers and Sisters who went before us to preserve the work they have done. Being a member of a group does not mean that you will be made to listen to war stories, march in parades, or become the Sergeant at Arms. It only means that your voice and concerns will be heard in Washington. It is past time for Veterans, especially of the Vietnam era, to stand up and be counted. You have NO RIGHT to bitch about the system, if you refuse to be part of the solution. Joining an organization makes you a part of the solution. Please take time to visit the various sites below. It will give you an idea of the Governments' attempts to take our benefits and services away. This link will take you to a complete listing of VSOs. Veterans Service Organizations Home page
I need to express Our deepest gratitude to the woman of America who have given service to Our Great Country, however, I need to stress the importance of you also becoming active in Veteran Organizations. Your voice counts and we are all in this together. Joining a Veteran Organization will help preserve what we have, and prevent the loss of benefits to which we are entitled. is a collection of "Galleries" containing imagery, stories, poems, songs, maps, and narratives from or about the Vietnam War era. This section also contains a "Glossary" of terms and slang used in this era and found in the writings throughout this Site. One Gallery is dedicated to Vietnam Veterans Memorials from around the world, and virtual searches can be done in others for the names listed on The Wall in D.C. and by State. There are two "Roll of Honour" Galleries of the Services Personnel and civilians of our Mates Down Under who were killed in Vietnam -- one for the Aussies and another for the Kiwis. http://www.vietvet.org/thepast.htm
